Healing Core Wounds & Limitations
“What still runs me from underneath?”
Old injuries organise present behaviour. The Definitive reads the wound structurally, honestly, and in service of what you do next rather than as an excavation for its own sake.
A small thing happens and the reaction that arrives is far too big for it.
A message goes unanswered for a day and you have already built the reason. A tone in a meeting, a plan made without you, a partner who is quieter than usual on the drive home. The response arrives before the thought does: you go cold, or you over-explain, or you make yourself difficult to dispense with. Afterwards the size of it is obvious. In the moment it was simply what was happening.
The cost is not the bad hour. It is the shape of a life arranged so the spot never gets touched. The job not applied for, the person kept at exactly one arm's length, the conversation rehearsed for four years and never had. You call it knowing yourself. It has been quietly running the calendar, and the people close to you have learned to move around it too, which is the part nobody says out loud.
You have the origin story. It has never once told you where the thing operates.
The standard instruction is excavation. Go back to the first time it happened, name it accurately, feel what you were not able to feel then, and the grip loosens. That is a real method, it has helped a great many people, and it answers one question well: where the injury came from.
Where it came from and where it currently sets terms are two different questions. You can narrate the origin fluently, in order, with dates, and still go cold on a Sunday afternoon for a reason you cannot reconstruct by Monday. The tender place rarely announces itself as an old injury. It arrives as a perfectly reasonable preference: you simply like doing things yourself, you are not interested in being checked on, that kind of closeness was never your temperament. Insight has not touched the preference.
A read across a whole life takes the injury as structure rather than as history. It names the departments the tender place still governs, who you become in each once it is touched, the error you are disposed to repeat around it, and the stretches of the coming year that press on it hardest. That is the difference between understanding a wound and knowing where it is currently in charge.
An injury you can explain is not the same as an injury that has stopped setting terms.
An old injury does not press on everything equally. It concentrates, and the department it governs is rarely the one you discuss. The read's five mirrors, on leadership, decision-making, conflict, romance and money, describe who you become in each once the tender place is touched. Drawn from your own placements, never from a category of person.
An old injury is not touched evenly across a year. Some stretches put weight directly on it and others leave it entirely alone. The twelve months ahead arrive as major transitions, a dated quarterly strip and four quarterly deep dives, separating the stretches that favour raising the subject from the ones that favour leaving it closed. Each one is dated.

Choose your reportThe six things an old injury settles for you while you are not looking.
None of these is answerable from inside a bad week. The tender place does most of its work in ordinary conditions, in decisions that look like taste, and each of the six below gets settled on your behalf if you leave it to settle itself.
The preference that is not a preference
You prefer to do it yourself. You do not like being checked on. That kind of closeness was never your temperament. Some of that is genuine temperament and some of it is an old injury wearing the costume of taste, and from inside they are indistinguishable, because both feel like simply being yourself. The test is not how it feels. It is whether the preference gets stronger the moment something touches the spot.
Who you become in the four seconds after it is touched
Everyone has a second self that arrives when the tender place is hit, and it is fast enough to have already spoken before you decided anything. Some go administratively polite. Some become useful, immediately, so nobody has grounds to withdraw. Some make the pre-emptive exit and call it self-respect. Whoever is closest to you has met yours far more often than you have.
The accommodations other people have made
The people around you have quietly arranged themselves around the spot: what your partner does not bring up in the car, the subject your oldest friend steers away from, the way a colleague softens an instruction before giving it. Those accommodations are real work and nobody has ever billed you for them. If the tender place changes, their arrangements change too, and not all of them will welcome it.
Whether the defence is still doing a job
Not every guard should come down. Some were built around something still live and still worth guarding, and removing them because a book said so leaves you exposed on ground you had sensibly given up. The honest question is not how to dismantle it. It is whether this particular defence protects a live position or one that was vacated years ago.
The repair you keep attempting on the wrong person
A manager, a partner, an older sibling, and each gets quietly auditioned for a verdict they were never in a position to give. You raise the old scene in new clothes, they answer as themselves rather than as whoever you needed to answer, and the exchange fails in a way that confirms the original injury. The pattern is recognisable by its ending, which is always the same ending.
Whether it is dormant or genuinely finishing
A tender place that has gone quiet for six months and one that is at the end of its era look identical from inside the current week. Both feel resolved, and one of them is not. The difference sits at the scale of a whole life rather than a season, and it decides whether the honest instruction is to press on the thing now or to leave it entirely alone until the ground changes.
The pages where the old injury gets described.
The five mirrors
Leadership, decision-making, conflict, romantic and money, each read against what you reported about yourself at intake. These are the departments an old injury operates in, and this is the section describing who you become in each once the spot is touched.
The Soul Blueprint and the Shift
The foundation opens on what you are built around, the shift the chart is currently making, and a signature plate of the chart itself. This is where the tender place is described as design rather than as damage.
The warnings page
Part of the alignment section: the specific errors your chart is disposed towards around this, set out plainly and kept apart from the guidance, alongside a strategic architecture whose longest section goes to the priority you name at intake.
Where the injury sits in a whole life
A hundred-year period view, a deep dive on the major period you occupy now, and your life sorted into three chapters with the joins named. This is the layer that separates an old injury from a chapter that was always going to close.
The present, then twelve months
The four layers of the present, a thirty-day outlook and the week ahead, then the year's major transitions, a dated quarterly strip and four quarterly deep dives. Raising it, leaving it, or holding steady get placed against specific stretches.
The opening and the close
The front matter opens on the dominant priority you name at intake, secondary priorities behind it, a quick-wins page closing it. At the far end: health vigilance, the full Gemstone Crown, a city scorecard, numerology alignment and a closing letter.
Cast once, from a single long-form sitting that includes an optional health-context question. Forty-one to forty-seven pages, delivered in three days: a whole-life foundation with the twelve months ahead dated. No annual re-cast, owners move into the quarterly Executive rhythm instead.
The injury was described in three days. It keeps setting terms after that.
The read answers the question in writing: where the tender place still governs, who you become in each department once it is touched, and the twelve months ahead dated. Setting it down also puts the whole thing on file. Your chart, resolved once. The long-form sitting where you described what you have never written out for anyone.
From then on it is an astrologer holding this one subject and everything you have raised since, so the argument you described in March is still there when the same shape turns up in November. A parent is coming to stay and you can feel the old position forming: ask whether this stretch favours saying the thing plainly or leaving it. On whether to go back into therapy, it does not rule. That is a therapist's call.
A period in your chart changes
A stretch that kept the tender place quiet can hand over to one that puts weight straight on it. You get what is ending, what is arriving, and one thing to do about it: have the conversation you have been drafting for months, or leave the subject alone for another six weeks and stop rereading the message.
A date your report named is approaching
The read dated the stretches that press hardest on the old position. It flags one early enough that you walk into the family visit, the review or the anniversary with your position already decided, rather than discovering what it was by watching yourself take it.
You raised a decision and went quiet
You said you would say the thing to your brother before the month ended, and the month closed without a word. Silence settles it: unsaid becomes the position and the accommodation stays exactly where it was. It comes back once to ask what happened, because the next time that shape arrives it is read against the answer.

Unlocked by the Executive Report and above, never sold on its own, because without a reading there is nothing for it to know. Qualifying reports include free weeks of it, then it is $50 a month on Standard or $100 on Pro, on WhatsApp or Telegram, with credits from either plan rolling over toward your next report.
Our position.
Free will and personal choices matter most. Whether you say the thing, keep the distance, forgive someone or decline to: those are decided by you, in ordinary rooms this document has no vote in. Nothing here repairs a relationship or ends one. What changes about the tender place next year changes because a person chose to stand somewhere new and then kept standing there.
It maps the injury, not the recovery. It sets out where the old position still governs and which stretches of the coming year press on it. It cannot see what your sister will actually say when you finally raise it, whether the person who caused it has changed since, or what a clinician would find in an assessment. The ground is what it names. Who you become standing on it is yours.
And it is one instrument among several. A therapist is the right person for the injury itself, a clinical psychologist if you want the pattern assessed properly, your doctor if the sleep or the appetite has gone, and a couples counsellor if the tender place now lives between two people. This read sits beside them and answers a narrower question: where it still operates, and when the year presses on it.
